Above, under & beyond the rainbow: Nail Cocktales - Hands and Feet Treatment Experience

Located at the 2^nd level of the commercial area of Blue Bay Walk, Nail Cocktales is a place of relaxation and pampering for all genders. Yes it is a hand and foot spa not just for girls. Guys need pampering too.

Managed and owned by 2 guys and a gal, it is quite a surprise factor to begin with. Imagine straight guys in the nail and spa industry. Hard to imagine? But it is true! Here are straight guys in an industry for girls and that caters to guys as well.

The place is spacious enough to hold more than 10 clients all at the same time. With comfortable chairs and sofas, you would truly be relaxed with the place. They even have an area for wax treatment should you desire to have one. They even have a good range of manicure/pedicure tints that you could choose from. They even have a nail polish color changing line - it changes color based on the light and the temperature of the place.

For the guys, there are two treatments that I have tried and i strongly recommend to try and enjoy as well: the paraffin treatment and the Billionaire’s Margarita Treatment.

The Billionaire’s Margarita Treatment comes with a manicure, pedicure and foot spa. As you get your treatment, the owner would even treat you to a drink concoction. Its alcoholic; enough to give you a good buzz without being drunk (unless you ask for more). They will start the treatment with a foot spa. For those ticklish, beware and be prepared! Like any foot spa treatment, they will place your feet in the basin set to a temperature enough to soften the skin and prepare you for a good scrubbing. Once prepped, they will gently scrub your soles to remove all the dead skin - that is the ticklish portion part 1. Then they will give you a foot massage. They are good enough to ask whether you would like it hard or gentle, depending on your preference. Then the relaxing gel - the 2nd ticklish part. The gel is cool that you feel your feet getting that needed relaxation. Then you get your feet wrapped in a amply thick towel so that your feet gets all the benefits of the gel and the massage it had.

While this is happening, your nails are now being prep for its manicure treatment. It gets soak in a small basin of water, to soften the hard cuticles - lessen the chances of cuts and wrong nips also. Your nails get trimmed, filed and your hands are massage too. Once done, then your feet gets unwrapped and gets the pedicure treatment it deserves. All this to enjoy with a drink on your hand.

All the staff are trained enough to know how to handle your hands and feet. The pressure is right and all your nails are cut based on your instructions. They are all friendly, that you can have a pleasant conversation while your nails are being done.

The parafin treatment was a blast! I am not a treatment type of person and experiencing it was totally new for me. First they will start with prepping up the wax. It has to be at the right melted stage to that the client won't get burned in the process. The parafin they are using is already mixed with an oil to make it fragrant and nourish the skin. They will not dip your hands or feet (depending on the parafin treatment that you asked for) in the tub but rather brush the melted wax. I had the hand parafin treatment. After brushing, they wrap your hands in plastic or cling wrap and still encase it in mittens (for the hands) or socks (for the feet). At this point, you can now imagine how a baby feels like with mittens.

After some minutes, once the wax has cooled down, they will start the unwrapping process. They will not unwrapping the plastic used but rather gently pull-out the wax along with the plastic. The oil from the wax used is so aromatic and sweet. I get to see my skin in its baby pink tint. Once removed, you feel the skin soft and tender. It's like you don't want to hold anything at that time to maintain its softness.

Again, you get to enjoy all the treatment given with a drink personally made by Mr. B - the main man of Nail Cocktales.

Word of advise, be ready to allot some time when you undergo their treatment. This is not your usual nail place wherein after 30 minutes or so and you are done. They will truly give you the works making it worth your time.

After all the treatment made and done, I feel so relaxed and pretty. My hands and feet truly got the pampering treatment they deserve for all the daily grind that they go to.
