Food Review: C'Italian Home of the Original Panizza and More

What started in Pampanga now has its roots in the heart of the one of the busiest city in the metropolis – Makati City.  C’Italian Dining is one dining area worth your time and palate.  Located at the corner of Toledo and Leviste Sts in Makati, within the heart of the residential area of the Salcedo side, C’Italian Dining is here to bring you real Italian dishes at a price that won’t hurt your pocket deep.

The place is designed with taste and style that you will simply need to relax and worry not of things.  Order your liking and simply enjoy the offering.

Start your meal with their Minestrone – a vegetable based soup that is rich with beans, carrots and other greens.  It is rich in flavors and filling that will give you comfort of home away from home.

C’Italian Dining is the home of the original panizza.  These are your thin soft crust pizza that is rolled with micro-greens.  This is one complete dish since it has carbohydrates (crust), proteins (meat), calcium (cheese) and vegetables (micro-greens).  You can even add spice on your rolled piece by adding either their dried chili’s or a drop or two of their home made chili oil.  Choose from the following C’Italian Original Panizza and enjoy!
Panizza Angelico – Chorizo, salami, bacon & mushroom
Panizza Rolls Royce – Salami, Scallop Flakes, Shrimps & Sun Dried Tomatoes
Panizza Margarita – Fresh & Sun Dries Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Basil
                Panizza Carmichael – (New!)

They also has a good pasta selection.  You have to try their Linguine Al Tartufoi!  It is truffle pasta.  It will make itself known as it is being served because of the strong truffle scent the waffles out from it.  The scent may be strong but the flavor taste is light and delicate.  I love it!

Linguine Al Fruitti de Mare is there seafood pasta.  A blend of salmon, mahi-mahi, prawns, imported mussels in EVO and their homemade pormodoro sauce.  Since I cannot taste it because of some components (health reason), I would say it was good based on the expression of those who has tried it.

Pasta Ala Rey is composed of sun dried tomatoes and EVO and olives.  It is light in garnishing but filling too.  A good offering should you wish for something lighter than the regular pasta dish.

Should you wish to have proteins then choose from either their Tuscan Roasted Chicken (marinated in EVO, white wine and lemon) or their US Prime Angus Flank Steak (marinated with garlic, rosemary and black pepper. Served with caramelized onions roasted potatoes, baked pumpkin slice & rapini topped with red wine reduction).  Both have their strong points and it all boils down to your preference. You may try the steak because of the elements with it.  The pumpkin is truly made tender that the red wine reduction is somehow absorbed into it and the caramelized onions do make wonders to the beef since the way that they cook it is in slabs, which explains the irregular cooking state of the different slices of the beef.

To close the dining experience, you may like to try any of the three: Lemon Cheesecake, Tiramisu and Crème Brulee, part of their dessert offering.  Everything is light and a good palate cleanser.  The cheesecake is light with the right level of acidity coming from the lemon sauce topping it.  The tiramisu is also light in general – sponge and chocolate alike.  The crème is a classic!  The custard is created right with it being creamy and light at the same time.  The caramelized top truly gives this treat the needed texture signature making it more than 2 dimensional.

C’Italian Dining has truly opened their doors to us, thanks to Zomato.  They truly made it a wonder for us that night.  As a dining place, C’Italian Dining has truly made their mark by offering good food and keeping a dining space that is so stylish and relax.  Is it pricey?  I would say it is priced right.  With offerings for solo (still good for two) or family (good for 4 or 5), they have something that would truly not make you dig deep into your pocket.
