PR & Fashion Review: The OUTKAST Paradigm-MBarretto Collection - Dynamic Collaboration Reflected in their Pieces

PRESS RELEASE:

Manila Fashion Festival presents a capsule collection of fresh designs from OutKast Paradigm, MBaretto, and a collaboration of the two at Green Sun last May 27, 2015.  OutKast Paradigm steps up their already impressive fashion line by bringing in the talent of renowned designer M Baretto into their newest collection, soon to be available to their patrons online.

OutKast Paradigm, a collection of edgy urban wear has been making waves in the Philippine fashion industry in the last year. With celebrities and young fashion enthusiasts sporting their unique clothing, the brand continues to grow into new fashion and style ventures. OutKast Paradigm’s founders, Lito Trinidad, Benj Bolivar, and Cris Lomotan, are long standing members of the fashion industry who have come together to encourage the importance of claiming your own style and fashion identity, as the name OutKast Paradigm implies.

Through collaboration with known designer M Baretto, they promise more depth and dynamism to their style offerings. M Baretto, a known menswear fashion designer in the Philippine fashion scene is making a huge comeback after a 2-year hiatus by partnering with the OutKast Paradigm team. This partnership creates a fashion brainchild that offers M Baretto’s signature clean lines, sensibility, and movement to the edgy and young feel of OutKast Paradigm’s style.

Apart from showcasing the new fashion line, this event is also a celebration of OutKast Paradigm’s founder, Lito Trinidad. The event will also be featuring shoes from SneakPeek,Outkast Paradigm’s Official Footwear Partner. With such a dynamic partnership between all these creative entities, this show was a fabulous star-studded social calendar affair that was not one to miss.

MY REVIEW:

Held at Green Sun, the latest hotel-event place in the city, Outkast Paradigm's fashion show -  in collaboration with known Filipino designer M Barretto - was a success.  Being true to their calling, the pieces shown that night was something for everybody.

The materials used were reflective of Outkast Paradigm's identity and call to be unique.  Each and everyone of us is unique in his and her own way and the new collection showed the dynamic union between them and M Barretto.  Barretto's design was also evident by the clean lines and structured fit of the jackets.

Most of the featured pieces aimed for people of the younger set (when age is used as comparative basis) but there are those that can be worn by people of the x and y generation. What got my eye were some jacket pieces that were not only functional but also fashionable.  I believe in the call of Outkast regarding being unique and presenting your own identity, being someone who wears pants made of satin and silk (hehehehe!); something that would not only make you be easily identified but also leaves a positive strong mark on those who you encounter in life.

When asked about the pricing of their items, this is what Lito Trinidad has to say:"Our price is very much competitive when compared to other brands in the Philippine market.  It is not high nor too low.  It is just right in your pocket."

Not my usual style of promoting a brand but with this Outkast Paradigm-MBarretto collaboration is a must in your closet!
