Hosted by Topper Fabregas of Red Turnip, the event was a night of wonder, humor and excitement. As a host, Topper kept everybody on their seats with his quick wit and humor. His punchlines were all clean and in the bucket, so to speak.
Recipients of the 2014 Natatanging Gawad Buhay Tribute were Amelia Lapena Bonifacio and Onofre Pagsanghan. Both has given their hearts and life in the development of the new generation or blood of theater practitioners. Personally, this was my 2nd time to attend this event and to witness another person who has affected my life as a theater practitioner/lover. Last year it was Prof. Naty Crame-Rogers and now it was Amelia Lapena Bonifacio who has received this award.
Excerpt performances were shown that night and it was all a delight!
The whole ceremony may have been longer than usual but thanks to the wit of both host and presenters, the whole crowd was there from start to finish.
