TRIBU Presents REMINISCENCES - A Philippine Independence Tribute Concert

Did you know that we will be celebrating our 121^st year of Independence this June of 2019?  Yes, that is true!  Definitely celebrations left and right may popped along the way but there is no other better way to celebrate but by bridging the gap among the classics, the millenials and Gen Z’ers thru music.

This June 11 and 12, this brave group of singer-performers shall embark on a musical journey of bringing the Filipino classics into the taste of the new generation and beyond.  Ephesus Teatron Group Inc – TRIBU is a sensational group showcasing all Filipino classical hits.  Their vocal prowess knows no time and boundary.  Each member has a distinct vocal quality and yet blends together forming an audial quality that will put any band to shame.  Composed of:

Sweet Samaniego Buchanan – coloratura soprano,

Margarita Roco – lyric soprano

Steven Hotchkiss – baritone

Onyl Torres – baritone

Terrence Guillermo – tenor

Red Nuestro – tenor

Kim Dominik Sarmiento – piano

The whole performance is divided into two acts showcasing the different songs of the islands and the history behind it.  2^nd Act gives way to patriotic / revolution songs Filipino seldom hears.  The aim is to make us millenials and Gen Z’ers realize that there is more to our culture and music that makes it stand the test of time and that we can truly be more than what we initially thought we are. 

The concert is to be held as the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City on June 11 and 12.  Come and join the celebration and walk away with pride for our country as we relit the fire of true Nationalism in this age of gadgetry, digital and disconnect.
