Food Review: BURGER COMPANY, A Treat in the Heart of Quezon City

Looking for a place that has good food?  How about a quiet place where you and your friends can enjoy a good boardgame?  How about both?  Located at the heart of Quezon City is #BurgerCompanyPH.

Located near the corner of Mother Ignacia St and Sct. Reyes in Quezon City, Burger Company offers good food, a relax atmosphere and a place to play your favorite board game.  This may not boast a space similar to a your regular fastfood burger joint but they do serve juicy burgers and other yummy treats.  From the name itself, burgers are the main thing in this place (Hello?!?).

Thanks to the opportunity given by Liv Co PH, I get to share to you the Burger Company experience.

Burger Company is designed to make use of a small space, making it one cozy joint to spend an hour or so eating and playing board games with friends and family.  With metal sheets adorning some spots of the place and wallpaper that looks like metal sheets also in your photos, it looks like a warehouse turned eating place.  It may not look much on the outside but what is served is treasure indeed.

It is crunchy, slightly salty with a delightful dipping sauce.  No, it is not french fries or any homemade chips for that matter.  I am talking of the Bacon Dippers.  It's wide strips of bacon, coated in a light beer-like batter and then fried individually, resulting to a crunchy treat. Use the cheese dip and what you have is a delightfully crunchy treat!  The way the dip taste, it is like two cheese melted properly and made into a smooth non-coagulating sauce.  Who ever said that any food with bacon is good, knows what he is talking about.  In my book, anything with cheese is good food.  Combine the two and what you have is something that will get you hook, line and sinker.

Next treat is the Homemade Onion Ring.  It has a light batter crunch and a sweet onion that makes it a light tasty treat.  Since both items are deep fried, the Bacon Dipper and the Homemade Onion Ring, the oil is so prevalent.  A little paper towel drying would help a lot.

The burger line-up  is quite good.  With a good size patty - 1/4 of a pound, seasoned and cooked right and set with a number of variations to your liking.

All American Classic
All American Classic Burger and Bacon Cheese Burger are what I would call classic burger treats.  The All American Classic Burger is composed of slices of onions, pickles, a piece of green, cheese slice, catsup and a thick patty.  Remove the onions and the pickles and place some perfectly cooked bacon and what you have is their Bacon Cheese Burger.

The Volcano is one of their burger creation with 3 perfectly fried onion rings stacked on top of a patty, coated with a sauce making it seems like lava pouring out; like its namesake.  You may eat the onion rings first before the burger OR simply push the whole thing down to have a big bite.  It may look like a challenge but it is a feat attainable.

Green Chile and Sour Cream  is one interesting creation.  Think of your burger with cheese coated with sour cream, topped with slices of chiles.  Is it spicy?  No it is not spicy!   The sour cream serves as a controlling heat factor making this a juicy treat.  Still served with a 1/4 pound patty with it's normal greens making it a burger of its own.

The Stackers is a burger creation coated with melted cheese, bacon slices and mushrooms with a sauce making it a crowd favorite! It is juicy and sweet!  It is also a slight challenge to eat it for all the juices that may came out from it.  Have no fear, for as one food chain says and I will use that line when you eat this treat . . .it's finger licking good!  You may even take the Stacker's Challenge.  Consume a double patty stacker burger creation along with its fries and a glass of homebrew ice tea and be part of the list of people able to do so in the allotted 5 minutes.

My favorite is the Bacon and Egg Burger!  It's your burger creation with cheese, greens, a sunny side-up egg (with a runny center), bacon slices and caramelized onions!  It also has a sauce that has a light bite making a good contrast to the sweet caramelized onion and juicy burger patty.  The yolk, when broken, gives another sticky yummy dimension to this burger.  As I always say:  "Any food with egg and cheese is good food."  For some it is bacon, for me it is egg and cheese.

Not only does they have burger creations, they also has chicken treats that you may enjoy.  They have a chicken burger, a cheesy-bacon chicken plate (wings or breast fillet) and a Radioactive Chicken Wing - your classic chicken wing spiced a heat level higher. They also have a 1-Minute Challenge for the Radioactive Chicken Wing, where you have to finish 6 pieces of wings in the allotted time without the aid of any beverage made available in the store.

In terms of beverages available, besides the house brew ice tea, they also have sodas and milkshakes to enjoy as you finish your favorite (or soon to be favorite) burger creation.

As you enjoy your treat, you can also play some of the available board games in display.  From something suited for kids to young adults, there is a game board for you.  For game enthusiast, this is one of the six food places now available in the metro that offers a board game place.

Burger Company is one relax place where you can truly enjoy good burgers and a time with your friends or even family.
