IT’S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES WITH SBR.ph

Year 2018 is truly opening doors for SwimBikeRun.PH (SBR.ph) as the Department of Tourism (DOT) recognizes the effort and development of the group responsible in helping develop and promote local triathlon activities for home grown enthusiast in the said dynamic sport.

Carlos de Guzman, owner of SBR.ph, started this hobby turned business with simple passion in mind and heart.  What started as passion is now a driving force birthing more activities and the creation of a community committed to the sports of triathlon.  Now on its 8th year with a good list of successful tri-series and triathlon community recognition event, SBR.ph is duly recognized by the DOT as a group driving the triathlon sports for local talents in the country.

DOT’s thrust for 2018 is to promote sports activities in preparation for the SEA Games, making the sports activity a focused area for tourism.  With the triathlon growing community in the country, the DOT felt that this is a community worth giving a hand and an arm in line with this year’s department thrust.

This year, SBR.ph is set to do the tri-series events in the following venues:  PhilSports Complex, Fontana and Nuvali.  Each location shall set the place and pace for the Aquathlon-Aquaman, Duathlon-Duoman and Triathlon-Triman events in April till June.  For registration and more information on the above mentioned events, log-in at www.swimbikerun.ph.  Two events worth looking at is the triathlon feat for people with disability (PWD) and the kid’s category, which shall be made into reality in the succeeding months as stated by SBR.ph.

Spicing things up is the return of the SBR.ph Awards Night which is to be held at the Activity Area of the Century City Mall in Makati City.  Along with this is a whole set of awards such as the Hall of Fame Awards, the Breakthrough Award for new triathlon participant as given by co-sponsor Black Arrow Express and a recognition coming from the DOT; truly making it more fun in 2018.
